MESSAGE OF SEPTEMBER 9th 1983,

AT PRADO NUEVO OF EL ESCORIAL (MADRID)

(Luz Amparo kneels down moaning because of hard pains while her forehead and hands begin to bleed showing Our Lord’s Passion stigmata).

LIGHT PROTECTION:  Oh, oh, oh. ..!  Oh, my God. ..!  (Several times).  Oh, My Lord!  Oh, my Lord. ..!  (She keeps on moaning with these expressions for some minutes).

  OUR LADY:

My child, my Son has chosen you as a victim, my child; you have to be strong.  He chose you as a victim for the good of Humankind, my child, for the salvation of souls; for this reason, my child, trials are terrible, my child, but you have to be strong, you have to be strong.  Do not abandon yourself, my child; you will have to suffer a lot.  Most of your suffering, my child, will be caused by human beings, my child; but you must offer yourself as a victim to make amends for the salvation of souls; my Son needs victim souls to save at least a third of Humankind; Thus, my child, if there are victim souls who make amends for men’s sins, lots of souls will be saved, my child.

I ask you for sacrifice, my child, sacrifice and prayer; offer yourself, my child, and become small before men, so that my Son can rise you high, high, very high, my child.  Christ’s path is hard, but it is worthwhile, my child, because you will receive your reward.  You must think you are nothing, my child; you must think you are miserable and God chose you because you are little and miserable, my child. Therefore, you have to be very humble, very humble, my child, to get the salvation of lots of souls, my child. My Son chose you as He has done with other victim souls but suffering is worthwhile, my child, it is worth while because suffering and prayer are good for the world’s salvation; it is worth while to suffer to receive the reward. Become little, little, so that my Son can put you in a high place, very high, my child.

Kiss the ground, my child, for sinners, my child...  This act of humbleness, my child, is good for the salvation of souls; Think, my child, as I have told you other times before, that all those who humiliate themselves, will be praised before God the Father’s eyes, my child; therefore I ask you prayer and sacrifice, prayer, my child. Receive with humbleness all the trials in this world, my child; human beings, human beings are...  (She speaks in unknown language).  They are that, my child, but suffering is worth while to get to the abodes, my child; think that to follow Jesus Christ, you must take the cross, carry it, and go behind Him, my child.

Look, my child, at the reward waiting for the victim souls; those victim souls chosen by Jesus for the world’s salvation.

LUZ AMPARO:

Oh, I want to stay here, I want to stay here!  Oh, oh, oh. .., I want to stay here!  Oh. .., I want to stay. ..!

OUR LADY:

One day you will, my child, receive your reward for your sufferings, my child; but you have to become little, my child, and humiliate yourself before men’s eyes.

I ask you, my children, sacrifices and prayer, to be able to get to Heaven; without sacrifice and prayer you cannot get to it, my child; that is why I like this prayer so much, my child, my prayer: the holy Rosary.  With the holy Rosary, my children, you can help lots of souls.  Sacrifice, my children, sacrifices and prayer.

As a reward for your sorrow, my child, kiss my foot...

I bless you, my children, as the Father blesses you through the Son and with the Holy Spirit.

Good-bye, my children.  Good-bye.

COMMENT TO THE MESSAGES

September 9th 1983

“I ask you sacrifice, my child, sacrifice and prayer; offer yourself, my child, and become small before men, so that my Son can rise you high, high, very high, my child. Christ’s path is hard, but it is worth while, my child, because you will receive your reward.  You must think you are nothing, my child; you must think you are miserable and God chose you because you are little and miserable, my child. Therefore, you have to be very humble, very humble, my child, to get the salvation of lots of souls, my child. My Son chose you as He has done with other victim souls but suffering is worth while, my child, it is worthwhile because suffering and prayer are good for the world’s salvation; it is worth while to suffer to receive the reward. Become little, little, so that my Son can put you in a high place, very high, my child.”   (The Virgin)

We cannot get to Heaven without suffering.  At the beginning, God had thought for human beings a happy life in this world before taking them to Heaven.  However, our first parents’ sin changed that first plan and affected the descendants of Adam and Eva as well as all the nature.  On the disastrous consequences of that original sin, The Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches us:  “In consequence of original sin human nature, without being totally corrupted, is wounded in its natural powers. It is subject to ignorance, to suffering, and to the dominion of death and is inclined toward sin. This inclination is called concupiscence.”(n.77).

Besides, Saint Paul exhorted in his preaching, after having suffered a lot:  "We must all experience many hardships before we enter the kingdom of God." (Acts 14, 22).  For this reason, along the messages the Lord and the Virgin do not to stop asking Luz Amparo for sacrifices to take part thus in the Passion of Christ, for the good of souls and Luz Amparo’s.

The Virgin attaches so much importance to simplicity, littleness, humbleness…! Before the world’s eyes being humble or little means being silly, despicable, humiliated… And human pride cannot bear it because it wants just the opposite: excellence and honour…However, “Our wisdom and our strength lie precisely in our being convinced of our littleness, of our nothingness in the eyes of God”[1]. Our Lord will raise us up in the divine way, as the Gospel says, “The greatest among you must be your servant. Anyone who raises himself up will be humbled, and anyone who humbles himself will be raised up” (Mt 23, 11-12).But this “raising” will happen in the eternal life and maybe in this world for the unbounded grace of God, which we will never be short of  and will raise us up to the supernatural life.

All this is related to the virtue of humbleness, the basis of all virtues, and has been repeated thousands of times along the messages of Prado Nuevo. Here it would be useful to remember the Litany of Humbleness because, if we say it sincerely it will surely help us accept we lack so much to live according to it:

O Jesus! Meek and humble of heart,

Hear me.

From the desire of being esteemed…

From the desire of being loved...
From the desire of being extolled ...
From the desire of being honoured ...
From the desire of being praised ...
From the desire of being preferred to others...
From the desire of being consulted ...
From the desire of being approved ...
From the fear of being humiliated ...
From the fear of being despised...
From the fear of suffering rebukes ...
From the fear of being calumniated ...
From the fear of being forgotten ...
From the fear of being ridiculed ...
From the fear of being wronged ...
From the fear of being suspected...

Deliver me, Jesus.

That others may be loved more than me,
That others may be esteemed more than me ...
That, in the opinion of the world,
others may increase and I may decrease ...
That others may be chosen and I set aside ...
That others may be praised and I unnoticed ...
That others may be preferred to me in
everything...
That others may become holier than me, provided that I may become as holy as I should…

Jesus, grant me the grace to desire it.

V /. Jesus, meek and humble of heart.
R /. Make our hearts like Yours.

PRAYER

Oh Jesus, being God, you humbled yourself to death on the cross, to be an eternal example that confuses our pride and self-love, grant us  the grace to of learning and practising your example, so humbling ourselves as our misery deserves here on Earth, we can be exalted to enjoy Thee forever in Heaven. Amen

We should choose the way of humbleness, for it is the surest one to please God, and we should imitate the humble slave of the Lord:  "If you want that God gives you humbleness more easily, you should take the most holy Virgin as advocate and protector.  Saint Bernard says that "Mary has been humiliated as no other creature and, being the greatest of all, she was the most little one in the very deep abyss of her humbleness". [2]
