BLESSING OF MAY 7TH 2011, FIRST SATURDAY OF MONTH.
AT PRADO NUEVO, IN EL ESCORIAL (MADRID)
Raise all your objects; all
will be blessed for the poor dying people...
I bless you, my children, as
the Father blesses you, through the Son and with the Holy Spirit.
MESSAGE OF NOVEMBER 1st 1983.
FIRST SATURDAY OF MONTH
AT PRADO NUEVO DE EL ESCORIAL (MADRID)
OUR LADY:
I bless you, my children, as the Father blesses you,
through the Son and with the Holy Spirit.
I couldn’t miss such a great day to bless you, my
children. I’ll keep on appearing, my children, although some humans think it
isn’t possible that I appear in this place; I appear so many times, my
children, because the time is close and men don’t stop offending God; this is
why I appear so many times. I warned you this way lots of years ago, but you
turned a deaf ear, my children; that is why my message is about sacrifice and
prayer, my children, because I want you to save your souls.
Kiss the ground, my children, for poor consecrated
souls…for poor consecrated souls, my children. My Heart loves them so much!
Yes, my child, you’ll go on undergoing physical
trials, but offer them for the salvation of Humankind. Think about the fact
that we choose lots of victim souls to make amends for men’s sins, my children.
Sacrifice, my children, sacrifice and prayer.
Kiss the ground again, my child, for all Humankind…
for all sinners, my children, for all without distinction of races, my child.
Ask My Immaculate Heart for graces; My Immaculate Heart
will pour them out on all of you, my children, because this Heart will prevail
over all Humankind, my children; that is why I ask you to pray and sacrifice,
my children.
Raise all your objects, my children; all objects will
be blessed, my children, and will be good for the healing of the sick and the
conversion of sinners.
Sacrifice, my children. I say it again: do not let your
Mother down.
I’d be pleased, my children, if a chapel were built in
honor of my name in this place, my children, where people from all around the
world could come and meditate My Son’s Passion, which is completely forgotten,
my children.
And you, my child, be humble and become little, tiny;
My Son likes you tiny.
Goodbye, my children, goodbye!
COMMENTARY UPON MESSAGES
November 1st 1983
“I couldn’t
miss such a great day to bless you (…) I’ll keep on appearing (…) although some
humans think it isn’t possible that I appear in this place; I appear so many
times, my children, because the time is close and men don’t stop offending God;
this is why I appear so many times. I warned you like this lots of years ago,
but you turned a deaf ear” (Our Lady)
“Such a great
day…” is the Solemnity of All Saints, a day the Liturgy of the Church
dedicates to venerate all those blessed enjoying God’s presence, especially
those who do not have a date in the calendar of saint’s day; Surely, there will
be people we knew on Earth at the celestial abodes.
Some have
questioned the apparitions of El Escorial because of their long duration. It
has already been discussed in previous commentaries. However, it would be remarkable
to say again that we -simple creatures- cannot set limits to God and decide the
number of times His Blessed Mother should appear. Instead of regarding them as
a blessing of God for our current times, some are critical about their
duration. Our Lady explains in one of the lasts messages on March 2nd
2002, “Men say I appear lots of times,
but they don’t see the world’s situation”. Mary’s spiritual maternity and
her burning charity move her to worry about us and not to abandon us to the
awful consequences of sin; that is why She says in the
message mentioned a few lines above, “Will
a Mother who loves her children so much not warn them against the danger that
lies ahead of them?” These words remind us of those of Saint Paul’s in his
speech at Miletus where he shows his audience his concern for their souls: “So
be on your guard, remembering how night and day for three years I never
slackened in counseling each one of you with tears” (1). If the Apostle did
this for the sake of souls, what will The Blessed Virgin not do moved by her
love and mercy towards us?
Some years ago, a French bishop (Monsignor Georges Lagranges, bishop of Gapa)
was asked about the long duration of some recent apparitions of Our Lady and if
this surprised him; he answered: “Not at all, this also happened to us 300
years ago. That is to say, in my diocese the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to a
girl when she was 16 years old and these apparitions lasted to the end of her
days. She died when she was 72 years old. Nobody kept count of the number of
times she saw the Mother of God! Our Lady in their conversations taught her to
be a patient shepherd; Later, she had mystical visions of Jesus Christ
crucified and his sufferings, in which she also took part. It is interesting to
point out that Our Lady led this girl to a place with a lot of water and told
her a home for priests should be built in that place, where they could shelter
pilgrims who would come to reconcile with God through the sacrament of Penance.
This is the origin of the sanctuary of the “Virgin of Waters”
“Sacrifice,
my children. I say it again: do not let your Mother down. I’d be pleased (…) if
a chapel were built in honor of my name in this place (…) where people from all
around the world could come and meditate My Son’s Passion, which is completely
forgotten, my children.
And you, my
child, be humble and become little, tiny; My Son likes you tiny.” (Our Lady)
If “let down” (as it is in the dictionary) means “to fail to meet the expectations of; disappoint”, it is
remarkable that the Virgin says so bitterly “do not let your Mother down”. In other words: God’s Mother puts her
trust in us, waiting for our generous response to her calling…If we correspond
to her invitations, we will console her Immaculate Heart; if we do not do so,
we will let her down and, respecting our freedom, God will not be able to carry
out his plan in our lives.
“And you,
my child, be humble and become little, tiny; My Son likes you tiny.” This is Our Lady’s request to Luz Amparo;
likewise, Jesus Christ said in his Gospel: “Then he said, 'In truth I tell
you, unless you change and become like little children you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven. And so, the one
who makes himself as little as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom
of Heaven.” (2)One of children’s characteristics is that they do not think they
have it and they put all their trust in their parents. Saint Therese of the
Child Jesus proposed the little way of spiritual childhood or “the little way”
as a secure means of salvation. In order to understand the real meaning of this
spirituality, we will refer to what saint Jose Maria Escrivá wrote: “Piety is the virtue of children. And if the child is to
take refuge in the arms of his father, he must be, and know that he is, small,
needy. I have often meditated on this life of spiritual childhood, which is not
incompatible with fortitude, because it demands a strong will, proven maturity,
an open and firm character.” (3)
