I bless you as the Father blesses you through the Son and with the Holy Spirit.

 

MESSAGE OF OCTOBER 22ND 1983

AT PRADO NUEVO DE EL ESCORIAL (MADRID)

 

OUR LADY:

I’ll only ask you, my child, for prayer and sacrifice, my child.

I only want to remind you of saying the holy rosary; with the holy rosary you can save lots of souls, my children.

I say again that I’d like a chapel to be built in this place, my children, in honor of my name- and I also say it again- to meditate on Christ’s Passion, my children, which you’ve forgotten, my children.

Come from all around the world to say the holy rosary, my children; the time’s close, my children, and men don’t stop offending God.

Kiss the ground, my child, in atonement for all the world’s sins…

My children, I’m appearing in lots of places because the time’s close and men don’t change, my children. Go to the sacrament of confession, my children; confess your sins. The chalice’s full, my children, and the end of ends is close. Make sacrifice, my children, and pray. Kiss the ground again, my child, for consecrated souls; I love them so much! But they repay me so badly! Don’t care about humiliations, my child, or people laughing at your humiliation; you must think that those who humiliate themselves will be praised before God, my child.

So many laugh at my messages! I’ve appeared in so many places! They’re trying to make my name disappear, my child! Poor souls! My child, poor souls!

Keep on saying the rosary, my children, for poor sinners. My Heart’s racked with grief for all of them, my child. Look, look at my Heart, my child…No soul’s been purified, my child; you cannot take any thorn away.

My children, with charity and the richness of prayer (1) you can save lots of souls, my children.

I bless you, my children, as the Father blesses you through the Son and with the Holy Spirit.

You, my child, be humble, my child; you’ll suffer a lot, my child.

Raise all your objects, my children… All these objects, my children, have been blessed; they’ll be good for the conversion of their souls; lots of you here don’t believe in my existence, my children. For the healing of the sick this blessing’s also good.

COMMENTARY UPON MESSAGES

OCTOBER 22ND 1983

“I’ll only ask you, my child, for prayer and sacrifice, my child.

I only want to remind you of saying the holy rosary; with the holy rosary you can save lots of souls, my children.

I say again that I’d like a chapel to be built in this place, my children, in honor of my name- and I also say it again- to meditate on Christ’s Passion, my children, which you’ve forgotten, my children.” (Our Lady)

 

From the very first lines of this message some of the most important topics Our Lord and Our Lady talk about in the messages appear: prayer, sacrifice, the rosary, the salvation of souls, etc. And an especial request from the beginning of the apparitions of Prado Nuevo: A chapel. She asked it for the first time in June 14th 1981:

"I am the Virgin of Sorrows. I want a chapel to be built in this place (she points at the location where She wants it to be made), a chapel in my honour. I want people to come here from all over the world to meditate on the Passion of my Son, which is completely forgotten. If they do what I say, people will be cured. This water will cure. I will bless all those who come here to say the Rosary every day. Many people will be marked with a cross on their foreheads. Do penance. Pray"

1.  This is the first time Our Lady asks for a chapel in Prado Nuevo and it is her first apparition in this blessed place as well; therefore, it can be said that these brief words are the first and main aim of these apparitions: Meditating on Jesus Christ’s Passion.

2.  In January 1st 1982, She added the second aim:” I want them to build a chapel in my honor to make retreats and spiritual exercises”. Later She insists, “ I’ve asked them to build a chapel in honor of my name so many times (…) I also want it for spiritual retreats” ( January 8th 1982)

3.  Finally, the third aim will be given in July 14th 1984: “ And the Blessed Sacrament should be exposed night and day so that all those who wish it, can come to this place to pray; but Christ must not be alone, my child”

4.  As a summary, it can be said that the building of a chapel in Prado Nuevo has three purposes, according to Our Lady’s messages:

 

1-  Meditate on Jesus Christ’s Passion.

2-  Retreats and spiritual exercises.

3-  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament day and night.

Together with these requests related to the chapel, Our Lord’s and Our Lady’s messages review faith and moral truths, currently denied or forgotten: God Creator (opposed to deified men); eternal truths like Heaven and Hell (which are not preached nowadays; The Virgin, Mother of the divinity of Jesus (opposed to the current trend that reduces Christ to a simple man); preaching of the Gospel (without changing it); denouncing immorality, etc.

     Have we ever wondered why Our Lady asked us to meditate on her Son’s Passion? Firstly, as She revealed in June 14th 1981 that part of Jesus’ life “is completely forgotten”. Secondly, because of its exceptional fruits. A classic author summarizes them: “Meditation upon the Passion(…) has power to tear men away from a bad life and to rouse up beginners to sorrow for their sins and abhorrence of them. It gives vigour and a most perfect example of virtue to those who are making progress, and it is the most forcible incentive to love for the perfect (…)All our Lord’s examples of virtue, which were scattered over the whole of His life, shine forth still more highly in His Passion. All the instruction contained in His discourses, all His doctrine and all His most excellent counsels are preached in His Passion. All the depth of suffering that anyone can undergo, all the extremities of misery to which any one may be brought in following justice, all are in the Passion; all deliverance from illusion and all learning of the truth are in the Passion ; all knowledge, understanding, and heavenly wisdom are to be found in the Passion.” (1)

 

To finish with, The Virgin asks for the chapel 37 times whereas Our Lord only once. Another interesting point is that Our Lady told Luz Amparo its size and the place where it should be in April 8th 1984, “My child, I’m going to tell you where the chapel should be, my child… (Luz Amparo walks following Our Lady’s instructions) Take off your shoes, my child. From this place to that part of the tree (…) (Luz Amparo walks to that tree without her shoes through rocks and mud) “I’ve already said everything, my children. Measure this size, my children, its width and length. Come back, my child, to where you were…”
