MESSAGE OF OCTOBER 12TH 1983
AT PRADO NUEVO OF EL
ESCORIAL (MADRID)
OUR LADY:
My children, my children. I’ m bringing you peace, my children, but you keep on
searching for war. Make peace, my children; if you don’t make peace, you won’t
have peace, my children. Don’t search for war, don’t take your shot guns to
fight, my children; prayer and sacrifice are your best weapon; the most
powerful weapon, my children, is the Holy Rosary; the Holy Rosary is the anchor
of your salvation, my children. That’s why I say to you, my children; search
for peace, the world is in a great danger, my children. Ask my Immaculate Heart
and My Immaculate Heart will lavish graces on all Humankind, my children.
I also ask you, my children,
to do devotedly the first Saturday of month; if you do the first Saturdays of
month, confessing your faults and taking the Eucharist and saying the Holy
Rosary every day, My Heart promises to lavish graces on all Humankind, my
children, on all who fulfill what I ask for, my children. I also promise to
help you at your death’s time and preserve you against the fire of Hell, my
children.
Be humble, my children; make
sacrifices and pray.
Kiss the ground, my children,
to make amends for all the sins of the world…this act of humbleness, my child,
is good for the conversion of poor sinners.
Humbleness I ask you, my
children, without humbleness you won’t get to Heaven.
And you, my child, lower
yourself to be little, very little, and you’ll raise very high, my child. You’ll
suffer a lot, my child; you’ll endure lots of trials because of all Humankind,
my child. Men are cruel, my child; they give nothing in return to sacrifice and
prayer.
Look, my child, at my Heart… (Luz
Amparo cries inconsolably). Don’t touch them, my
child, these souls haven’t been purified.
I keep on saying, my children:
pray for consecrated souls. My Heart loves them so much, my children! They
repay this love so badly…!
Write a name, my child, in the
Book of Life…this name, my child, will never be erased; it is written in the
Book of Life.
Kiss the ground, my child, for
consecrated souls…this act of humbleness is for consecrated souls; humiliation
shouldn’t matter to you, my child; those who humiliate themselves will be
praised before the Father, my child.
Kiss my foot, my child…as a
reward for your sufferings, my child.
Keep on offering yourself as a
victim to make amends for all sinners in the world, my child.
The time is coming, my
children, and men don’t stop offending God. Don’t offend God anymore, my
children, because the Father’s wrath will fall on all Humankind. That’s why I
ask you for sacrifices: sacrifices and prayer, my children! Keep on saying the
Holy Rosary because lots of souls are being saved, my children.
My child,
be humble, be humble and don’t disappoint my Child. He’ll give you lots of
trials; accept them humbly, my child, and offer yourself to make amends for
poor sinners.
I bless you, my children, as
the Father blesses you, through the Son and with the Holy Spirit.
Goodbye, my children, Goodbye!
COMMENARY UPON MESSAGES
October 12th 1983
“... I’ m
bringing you peace, my children, but you keep on searching for war. Make peace,
my children; if you don’t make peace, you won’t have peace, my children. Don’t
search for war, don’t take your shot guns to fight (…) prayer and sacrifice are
your best weapon; the most powerful weapon, my children, is the Holy Rosary;
the Holy Rosary is the anchor of your salvation, my children. That’s why I say
to you, my children; search for peace…” (Our Lady)
Along our history, Peace is one of the things
Humankind has longed for most eagerly, which has also been very hard to
achieve; there have always been peaceful times interrupted by wars, always present
at different places on Earth. Therefore, the key for peace can be found in Our
Lady’s words in this message and others.
As peace searching has sometimes been neither sincere
nor properly achieved, The Virgin says “…I’
m bringing you peace, my children, but you keep on searching for war”,
which reminds us of the Psalm 120 (119): “Too long
have I lived among people who hate peace. When I speak of peace they are all
for war!” (vv 6-7)
Our Lady wants us to “Make peace, my children; if you don’t
make peace, you won’t have peace”.
Indeed, true peace is a gift from God that requires our work to receive it. We
could say that “the peace of weapons” will not be achieved without “the peace
of souls”; meetings, treaties, etc. among nations, although being useful, will
not solve the problem completely.
Saint Augustine comments on Jesus’ words from the
Gospel (“Peace I bequeath to you, my own peace I give you, a peace which the
world cannot give” Jn 14, 27): “… Not as the world
gives, give I unto you, what else does He mean but, Not as those give who love the world, give I unto you? For their aim in giving
themselves peace is that, exempt from the annoyance of lawsuits and wars, they may find enjoyment, not in God, but in the friendship of the world; and although
they give the righteous peace, in ceasing to persecute them, there can be no true peace where there is no real harmony, because their
hearts are at variance”(1) And he adds: “ peace is serenity of understanding, peace
of mind, simplicity of mind, tie of love and consortium of charity” (2).
“Kiss the ground, my children, to make
amends for all the sins of the world…this act of humbleness, my child, is good
for the conversion of poor sinners.
Humbleness
I ask you, my children, without humbleness you won’t get to Heaven.
And
you, my child, lower yourself to be little, very little, and you’ll raise very
high, my child.” (Our Lady)
The Virgin asks Luz Amparo for humbleness several times; kissing the ground is
an act of humbleness, which may be offered for the conversion of sinners.
However, this will not be understood as it happened to saint Bernadette in
Lourdes. On February 25th 1858, The Virgin asked her this same
thing, and the following day she said, “Yesterday, Aquero
( The Virgin) told me to kiss the ground as penance
for sinners” “Do you know people will think you are insane if you do those
things?” she is warned; but she only says, “ for poor sinners…”. This is how
saint souls behave. They do not want reasons when they are told to do
something; although sometimes heaven orders may seem incomprehensible. On the contrary,
they obey because of love. For this reason, in this message we are commenting
on, Our Lady adds later:
“Kiss the ground, my child, for consecrated souls…this
act of humbleness is for consecrated souls; humiliation shouldn’t matter to
you, my child; those who humiliate themselves will be praised before the
Father, my child.”
Father Garrigou
Lagrange wrote in his work, “The sign of humility is obedience. Pride, on the
contrary, inclines us to do our own will and to seek what exalts us, not to
wish to be directed by others, but to direct them. Obedience is opposed to this
pride. The only Son of the Father came down from heaven to save us, to cure our
pride, becoming obedient unto death, and even to the death of the cross.”
A few lines above, Our Lady
says
“Write a name, my child, in the Book of Life…this
name, my child, will never be erased; it is written in the Book of Life.”
The Book of
Life (3) appears in the Sacred Scriptures; the names of those who reached
or will reach eternal salvation are in this book. This same sense is attached
to the Book of Life in the messages of Prado Nuevo, which refer to it a lot of
times, when Luz Amparo is asked to write names chosen
either by God or by herself among some names an angel shows her. She is also
asked to kiss it as a sign of veneration, as priests do with the Gospel in the
Mass.
