COMMENTARY UPON MESSAGES
" My child, my
child, I keep on warning you; I keep on warning you, my children, because I
don't want you to be condemned. I'm forced to let the arm of mercy fall
down" (Our Lady)
We
have just celebrated the second Sunday of Easter or Sunday of Mercy,
established by Pope John Paul II. Precisely, he died the eve of that Sunday;
that is to say, a Saturday which was also first Saturday of month. The
· Firstly, he explains the meaning of
the authentic mercy, that is joined to the justice:
"It is obvious that such a generous requirement of forgiveness does not
cancel out the objective requirements of justice. Properly understood, justice
constitutes, so to speak, the goal of forgiveness. In no passage of the Gospel
message does forgiveness, or mercy as its source, mean indulgence towards evil,
towards scandals, towards injury or insult" ( John Paul II, Dives in Misericordia,
14)
The
Virgin Mary, always close to her Son Jesus Christ, is also Mother of Mercy, as
we invoke at the end of every mystery of the rosary: "Mary, Mother of
Grace, Mother of Piety, Love and Mercy, defend us…".
John Paul II explained in this letter the relationship among Jesus, Mary, the redemption …: ""No one has
received into his heart, as much as Mary did, that mystery, that truly divine
dimension of the redemption effected on Calvary by means of the death of the
Son, together with the sacrifice of her maternal heart, together with her
definitive "fiat." Mary, then, is the one who has the deepest
knowledge of the mystery of God's mercy (...) In this sense, we call her the Mother
of mercy: our Lady of mercy, or Mother of divine mercy” (ibid.,
n.9)
Those
who do not know the messages of Prado Nuevo or are
against them focus their attention only on aspects such as the justice or the
punishment (indeed, these are present in the messages but undoubtedly they are
also connected to the Sacred Scriptures and other saints' revelations). On the
contrary, they forget other topics that are even more important. Anyway, other privileged
souls have also received messages accepted by the Church whose contents are
similar to those reflected in Luz Amparo's messages.
If
we take into account the figures, the word mercy
appears 211 times, and others like punishment or justice 137 and 135
respectively. Besides, the word love, so close to mercy (the most beautiful
flower, as the apostle of the divine mercy saint Mary Faustine
Kowalska wrote in her Diary [n. 651]) is mentioned
852 times! Charity, another name for love, 160 times. Grace or graces 792! These figures show the importance of love, mercy, grace, etc in the messages. They insist
on fulfilling the Commandments (which is what the Gospel and the doctrine of
saints encourage us to do) with the help of the grace, necessary for our
salvation; they also warn us against possible punishments as well as they
highlight the perfect love or charity, the main virtue.
Here
are some quotations where the word mercy appears:
· "I am the alpha and the omega, those who believe in me will get to
the kingdom of heaven. I'm carrying a cross so that God gives his divine mercy to all Humankind" (The Lord, September 25th 1981)
· " I
have used all my wisdom to give them all the means of getting the joy of my
eternal kingdom, all my tenderness to attract them to me, my goodness and my mercy, my riches, my magnificence and
my love (…) I have done for them what I would have done for my own
children" ( The Lord, November 13th 1981)
· "Do not be afraid, trust in me, I'm your Father, and in a good
Father there is only love and mercy.
Notice that my Mother has loved you and has taken care of you, and I will also
love you and take care of you with tenderness and mercy." ( The Lord, December 25th 1981)
· "You should often say: " Eternal Father, you are almighty,
have mercy on all inhabitants of the
Earth" ( Our
Lady, March 26th 1982)
· " I've come, my child, full of sorrow, but I am also full of mercy and love for all my
children"( Our
Lady January 1st 1983)
· "At the end of everything, this Immaculate Heart will triumph, my
child. Pray to this Heart that is waiting for you full of mercy and love and forgiveness, my children" ( Our Lady January 22nd 1983)
