COMMENTARY UPON MESSAGES

March 5th 1983

"My child, here I am as your Mother to bless you. I've come, my children, full of, love, mercy and forgiveness. But My Immaculate Heart is full of sorrow because human beings, my child, don't stop offending God.

Tell them, my child, to stop offending God" (Our Lady)

The Blessed Virgin is Mother of love, mercy and forgiveness, as this message points out; but her Immaculate Heart suffers because of the offences men commit continuously against God although her great love for us opens the door of mercy to us. Saint Cyprian writes, "He promised the forgiveness of our sins and He cannot betray his word; furthermore, when teaching us to ask for the forgiveness of our offences and sins, he promised his fatherly mercy and, consequently, his forgiveness"[1]. There is a great indifference among souls with respect to the offence towards God; however, the current catechism of the Church insists on the consequences of sin: " Sin is before all else an offence against God, a rupture of communion with him. At the same time it damages communion with the Church. For this reason conversion entails both God's forgiveness and reconciliation with the Church, which are expressed and accomplished liturgically by the sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation "[2]. Knowing the consequences of sin, are we not going to do anything we can to avoid offending God? Along all the messages Of Prado Nuevo, Our Lord and Our Lady constantly regret for souls' contempt for the sins they have committed:

· "…I ask you, my child, to be a victim of my Passion, because I accepted resignedly my Father's last will, which was to suffer, suffer to the end; and I did it to erase the sin of so many sinners, to make possible they all get to my Kingdom; but they haven't got hearts, they are cruel, they are offending constantly, hurting our Hearts, My Purest Mother's and Mine" ( Our Lord, January 8th, 1982)

· "My Immaculate Heart is aching because of so many offences committed against my Son. Do penance. Be humble. The abodes are ready. That's your heritage and you'll get it if you pray and sacrifice. Release a little bit my Son from his agony with your prayer and penance. You, human beings, are so ungrateful! You don't correspond to the grief of your Immaculate Mother's Heart. ( Our lady, March 25th, 1982)

· " Come, my children, from the four continents and pray in this place and do penance for so many evils and offences men of ill will commit against our Hearts" ( Our Lady, September 4th, 1993)

· Men are as cold as ice; that's why I want you to do acts of love and repair for so many and so many offences committed against Our Hearts, even those who say they love me and are mine, because passion has defeated them. And look at our Hearts surrounded by sorrow and thorns. I come to this place because I wish men would relieve Our Hearts" ( Our Lord, January 5th, 2002)

Coming back to the message we are commenting this month, Our Lady says, "say it louder, my child, say it louder, I want all priests to listen to my messages and tell them to human beings. I want them to sacrifice ( …), I want them to change their lives and preach the Gospel around the world for the salvation of souls"

Once more, Our Lady talks to priests: She wants them to listen to her messages and tell their content to souls, She wants them to consider sacrifice as an essential part in their lives, which must be impregnated by renouncement, the preaching of the Gospel, zeal for souls… The spread of the Gospel "around the world" is a command of Jesus Christ to his disciples: "Go out to the whole world and proclaim the Good News to all creation. The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; the one who refuses to believe will be condemned"[3] (Mk 16, 15- 16).

Our Lord and the Blessed Virgin show so much love for priests! It is true there are lots of corrections for them, but there are so many signs of their overwhelming love! Besides, is correction not a sign of love? The Letter to the Hebrew sets it clearly: "My son, pay attention when the Lord corrects you and do not be discouraged when He punishes you. For the Lord corrects those he loves (…) God treats you like sons and what son is not corrected by his father? If you were without correction which has been received by all, ( as is fitting for sons), you would not be sons but bastards" (Hb 12, 5- 8).

· Firstly, we include a beautiful prayer for priests Our Lady said the first year of her apparitions: "My Jesus, for your loving Heart, I beg you to inflame all the priests of the world, all missionaries, all the people entrusted with the preaching of your Divine Word with the zeal of your love and glory. This way, full of holy zeal, they will conquer souls and take them to the home of your Heart where they will glorify you unceasingly" ( November 25th, 1981)

· Later, Our Lord taught Luz Amparo other beautiful prayer: "For your Son's Passion; I offer you all my sorrows. I also offer you, O Eternal Father! This crown of thorns of your beloved Son; for these sorrows I ask you for priests, their vocation be greater, they be purer, good sons of God, worthy of consecrating the divine mysteries of the Holy Mass…" ( December 11th, 1981)
