BLESSING OF
AT PRADO NUEVO OF EL ESCORIAL (MADRID)
"Raise
all your objects…all will be blessed for the poor dying people…
I bless you, my children, as the Father
blesses you, through the Son and with the Holy Spirit."[1]
COMMENTARY UPON MESSAGES
"My
child, the Reign of my Son is close, my child. The trial has been long and
hard, my child, but God chose you as an instrument for the salvation of souls
(…) He wants to polish you to give you the key of the abode that belongs to you
and, at the same time, my child, he wants you to be a victim for the salvation
of Humankind." (Our Lady)
This was the first time Luz Amparo went to say the Rosary
after a period of convalescence as a result of a beating and humiliations she
suffered on
"The morning of May 26th 1983, having been insulted by
strange people the day before, she was alone saying the Rosary next to the tree
and the small picture of the Virgin the pilgrims had put on it, when she was
assailed cruelly by two men and a woman wearing a hook on their heads. They
undressed her, they dragged her along the ground, they put a rock in her mouth
so that she could not scream…" we are going to hang you from a tree to see
how the Virgin comes to save you" they said " You have to deny
everything". Amparo said: " Why am I going to deny it if it is
true?". Amparo was hospitalized and had to stay in bed (…) to recover and heal
the wounds". Luz Amparo has said that, after the beating, she felt a great
joy because she had not betrayed Jesus.
Some years later (
Therefore, immediately after her convalescence because of
the humiliations she had endured, Our Lady told her in the message, "The trial has been long and hard, my child,
but God chose you as an instrument for the salvation of souls".
She also tells her that
sorrows accepted with Christian patience give us the key of an abode in Heaven.
This thought appears also in the Gospel and along the lives of the saints;
indeed, The Acts say, "We must go through many trials to enter the
At the beginning of the message The Virgin says "the Reign of my Son is close". Although
we have already talked about it, this kind of statements should be understood
in the right way because the measure of time of God is different from ours;
Saint Peter in his Second Letter
helps us to comprehend it:
"Remember, first of all, that in the last days scoffers
will appear, their mockery serving their evil desires. And they will say"
What has become of his promised coming? Since our fathers in faith died,
everything still goes on as it was from the beginning. The heavens existed
first and earth appeared from water, taking its form by the word of God. By the
same word of God, this world perished in the Flood. Likewise, the Word of God
maintains the present heavens and earth until their destruction by fire (…) Do
not forget, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years,
and a thousand years like one day. The Lord does not delay in fulfilling
his promise, though some speak of delay; rather he gives you time because he
does not want anyone to perish, but that all may come to conversion" ( 2P
3, 3-9)
And the Catechism of the Catholic Church says, "To God, all moments
of time are present in their immediacy" (n.600). "My time is not earth's time" Our Lord explained on
The Book of Revelation announces more than once that "
The time is near" ( Rev 1, 3; 22, 10) and the coming of the Lord is about
to happen ("I'm coming soon, bringing with me the salary I will pay to
each one according to his deeds" Rev 22, 12; 22, 20). The prophetic view
relates near events with far events in such a way that the farthest ones seem
to be close; the time between them is forgotten. The announcements of Prado
Nuevo must be understood in this way for they are part of God's mysteries.
The Virgin also asks us to go to Confession and to receive
the Holy Communion; She adds referring to a quotation from the Gospel: "The Reign of Jesus Christ is near.
Help my Son carry the cross, my children. If you have not gone to the sacrament
of Confession and the Eucharist, do it now because death can come as the thief
when you don't know the hour, my children"[2]
