MESSAGE OF JUNE 24TH 1983[1]

AT THE PLOT OF LAND OF "SAN JOSÉ" IN NAVAZARZA ( GALAPAGAR)

"My child, my children, join together in love for each other; if you are united you can undertake a good work of mercy and love toward your neighbour. In a message, my child, I told you that you had to join Teresa of Jesus; you have to do so. You have to sow to harvest; you can make works of mercy; If you sow, you will harvest; you can make works of love and mercy to the poor, and you will receive your reward in the celestial abodes.

Don't stick to worldly matters, which will lead you to damnation. The cup of God's mercy is almost finished; that is why I ask you to help save lots of souls, at least I wish the third part of Humankind would be saved; the world is still in danger. Lots of souls are being condemned because nobody talks to them about God!

Found houses of love and mercy for the poor; there are lots of people who need the word of God.

Yes, my heart is bleeding because of the sorrow caused by all my children; I do not want them to be condemned, hurry up and save as many souls as you can!. Kiss the ground... This act of humbleness serves to save souls.

They do not listen to their Mother's messages! Do they not know that their Mother only wants to save their poor souls? Poor souls!

Look at my heart; it is torn by sorrow for consecrated souls. I'm going to give you a great joy: five have been purified... Keep on saying the Rosary, make sacrifices, pray. To purify souls it is necessary prayer and sacrifices. Do not touch my heart.

Kiss my feet, my daughter, as a reward for your sacrifices...

My children, you can save so many souls! Owning all the wealth of the world is worthless if you lose your soul. Do not stick to earthly things. Give them, give your goods, give and you will receive.

Found, and do good works for the sake of souls; also make sacrifices and prayer for the poor sinners, because you will receive your reward.

I bless you as the Father blesses you in the name of the Son and with the Holy Spirit.

Be humble, love your neighbour; if you do not love your neighbour, you do not love my Son.

Goodbye, my children. Goodbye.

COMMENTARY TO THE MESSAGES

24-June-1983

"My child, my children, join together in love for each other; if you are united you can undertake a good work of mercy and love toward your neighbour. In a message, my child, I told you that you had to join Teresa de Jesus[2]; you have to do so. You have to sow to harvest; you can make works of mercy; If you sow, you will harvest; you can make works of love and mercy to the poor, and you will receive your reward in the celestial abodes. (The Virgin)

Some Prado Nuevo messages include a call to make works of love and mercy; this message is the first time Our Lady asks us to do so. She was already preparing what would become a reality some years later with the residences for the elderly, carrying out the wish of the Virgin. Let us remember some of these messages:

 • «...you have to found houses of mercy and love for the poor, my daughter, so that lots of souls can be saved' (The Virgin, 6/25/1983).

• 'I want works of love and mercy in this place' (The Virgin, 10/3/1992).

• «...Love one another and make works of love and mercy" (The Lord, 7/3/1993).

• 'I have asked you this place to pray and make works of love and mercy" (The Virgin, 9/4/1993).

• 'Defend my Work and keep on making works of love and mercy" (The Lord, 10/2/1993).

• 'Make works of love and mercy, my children, and love God, your Creator' (The Lord, 1/6/1996).

• «...Think of those who suffer, who are hungry, persecuted, the sick; Make works of mercy" (The Lord, 10/5/1996).

The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches, "The works of mercy are charitable actions by which we come to the aid of our neighbour in his spiritual and bodily necessities. Instructing, advising, consoling, comforting are spiritual works of mercy, as are forgiving and bearing wrongs patiently. The corporal works of mercy consist especially in feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and imprisoned, and burying the dead. Among all these, giving alms to the poor is one of the chief witnesses to fraternal charity: it is also a work of justice pleasing to God."

Among the "Formulas of Catholic doctrine" that includes the Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church[3] the classic 14 works of mercy are listed; we should not forget them; instead, we should practice them: The seven corporal works of mercy:1. Feed the hungry.2. Give drink to the thirsty.3. Clothe the naked.4. Shelter the homeless.5. Visit the sick.6. Visit the imprisoned.7. Bury the dead. The seven spiritual works of mercy:1. Counsel the doubtful.2. Instruct the ignorant.3. Admonish sinners.4. Comfort the afflicted.5. Forgive offenses.6. Bear wrongs patiently.7. Pray for the living and the dead.

The saints have also said:

-         'The works of mercy are proof of the true holiness' (Saint. Thomas Aquinas, Catena Aurea, vol. II, p. 15).

-         'Charity is not only practiced with money. You can visit a sick person, stay with him for a while, help him, make his bed, prepare his remedies, comfort him in his pains and sorrows, read him a pious book (Saint Cure of Ars, Sermon on the Alms).

-         'There are lots of works of mercy, and so all true Christians, whether they are rich or poor, have an opportunity to practice them according to their possibilities; and although not all can be equal in the amount of what they give, everyone can be equal in their willingness (San Leo the Great, Sermon 6 on the Lent).

-         'Give alms: this word refers to all the works of mercy, because giving alms is not only giving food to the hungry and other similar necessities, but also forgiving those who offended us and pray for them, admonishing others...» (Saint Beda, Catena Aurea, vol. VI, p. 49).

[2]  Two messages, one previous (11/9/1982) and another following it (6/25/1983), speak about the same issue, mentioning Saint Teresa of Jesus, who is also referred to in the following: 1/20/1983; 7/29/1984; 8/15/1984; 9/2/1989. Our Lady asks Luz Amparo to join the Saint of Avila to find the help and inspiration to carry out the Work of Prado Nuevo. (2) Madrid, 2005, p. 231
