COMMENTARY UPON MESSAGES
November 20th, 1981
(Continuation)
In the second part of this message, Our Blessed Lady speaks to comfort Luz Amparo, inspired by her motherly Heart.
"My daughter, my daughter, here you have me to console you; here you have me. I will be with you till the last, my daughter. Offer those sufferings for all my children, for all sinners".
Then, through beautiful images, Our Lady refers to those who have already got to the celestial abodes: "because of your prayers- She points out- they are ascending in a throng of light in a light band of light This causes me a lot of joy"
"Glory to God in the highest and on Earth peace to those on whom his favour rests" The celestial army sang joyfully in honour of the incarnate Word. Those celestial regions- "the highest"- are flooded by a marvellous light whereas darkness belongs to the guilty that did not repent and preferred darkness. The just souls who despised earthly concerns and searched incorruptible matters on earth will be raised over heavenly bodies, where there is eternal life, as some other message says. On the contrary, carnal men - attached to this world and slave of hedonism, rejecting God and his forgiveness - do not want to correct their vices so they must descend to the deepest abyss where they prefer to dwell.
How little we talk and reflect upon eternal truths! And among those moments they are only a few times when our minds lift to the highest, where God lives! Nevertheless, no other thought should be so close to the true Christian as this because it would give him hope and encouragement to walk straight along the path leading to eternal life. For this reason, in his letter to the Philippians Saint Paul points out clearly: " For us, our citizenship is in heaven, from where we await the coming of our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will transfigure our lowly body, making it like his own body, radiant in Glory" (Phil 3, 20-21).
It is said that, during his sojourn in Rome, Saint Ignatius of Loyola went up to a flat roof many times where he watched the sky, fixing his eyes on that wide horizon; in this way his soul joined God. It was such a habit of his that he was called "the man who looks at the sky and is always talking about God". The true heaven of the blessed consists in living in a state of perfect and full happiness without limits, as Boecio defined it: " The assemble of all good things in a perfect and completed state".
Then, Our Lady refers to consecrated souls, whose sins- She says- cry to heaven; she pays an especial attention to those committed by priests because " they bear more responsibility than others"; the reason for this is that " they have neglected prayer and penance and the demon has darkened their minds".
Next, this message prophetically talks about the Vicar of Christ who "will suffer a lot" and the Church that " will endure a horrible crisis". In such a difficult situation "civil and ecclesiastic power will be abolished, each person will have to guide himself and impose on the others, all Justice will be trodden down and everywhere you will only see murders, hatred, discords, there will not be love either in humankind or families". It is really a desolating description; no doubt, these are the bitter fruits of sin. Likewise, this same language and prophecies were revealed to other selected souls, even saints of the Church (Saint Hildegard, Saint Catherine of Sienna, Saint Jasper Buffalo, Beatified Ann Mary Taigi, Saint John Bosco, etc.); they also refer to this difficult period of history, which will coincide with the end of times.
Then, in the last paragraph there is an invitation to accept our cross and its sufferings; it is a reflection upon its healthy effects on our souls; in short, it will help us to save ourselves, to enjoy a happy eternity: " You should not mind if you suffer, my children, because look at what is waiting for you, how wonderful all this is! There are no envies here, my children, there is no wickedness here, all is love, all is happiness, all is purity. Suffer my children, it is worth suffering to get all this"
Finally, she insists on the virtue of humbleness saying "it is the basis of all"; on the contrary, " pride is what damns all human beings, hell is full of pride souls and Satan has made up his army of pride".
