COMMENTARY UPON MESSAGES

February 11th, 1982

In this message, Our Lady asks us for penance, prayer, charity for those that do not do so…She insists several times on praying for the Church- cardinals, archbishops, bishops and priests- referring to those who do not fulfil their vocation.

She announces again the Damnation and explains to Luz Amparo, " The Damnation is getting close; it will be, my daughter, stars crashing down into the Earth". Besides, She mentions the name of one of them and talks about its effects: "The Star Eros will light upon all Humankind; it will be horrible, my daughter, it will look as if the world were on fire, it will last only a few seconds; many human beings will wish to be dead in that moment. Even the Just will see it, but it won’t affect them in any way. Many human beings will die too because of that great shock; it will be like a rain of fire; all the Earth will tremble, my daughter; it will be horrible"

When this message was uttered, that asteroid’s name was unknown to most of us; it was discovered by an observatory in Berlin in 1898, and astronomers are very interested in it because- except for the moon- it is the nearest to the Earth of the stars of similar size.

Messages will not mention "the star Eros" again although they will speak of "stars" in general several times and "a star" in particular twice: "a star will light the Earth. It will look as if it were covered by fire, it will last twenty minutes" ( Our Lady, February 26th 1982). " …The Damnation that will come on Earth. It will not be water, my children, this time it will be fire, and it will be caused by a star that will crash down into the Earth." ( Our Lady, June 10th 1984). Although time will make these words’ prophetic content come true, we include them here as one of the topics of Prado Nuevo’s messages .

Our Lady points out the value of humbleness once more, " Humbleness I ask you; be humble. Look, how humble My Son was, up to the Cross! My son has always said, "learn from me for I am gentle and humble of heart", and those who are gentle and humble will reach God’s possessions. My children, you should always take your cross humbly". These are Gospel’s words; Jesus joins humbleness to mildness, an excellent virtue, praised by Him in the Beatitudes: " Fortunate are the gentle, they shall possess the land" (Mt 5, 4). Likewise, it is written in the Book of

Sirah, " The Lord has overturned the thrones of princes and set up the meek in their place. The Lord has torn up the proud by the roots and has planted the humble in their place" ( Si 10, 14-15)

The virtue of mildness is close to the cardinal virtue of temperance, which is the virtue that moderates anger; whereas temperance keeps gluttony and lust under control, mildness moderates anger.

Meekness and humbleness are like two sisters that live the same life, like two rich metals that fuse to complete each other: we conquer The Divine Heart by means of humbleness, and we attract our brethrens’ heart by means of mildness. We should be " Christ’s fragrance" among our neighbours, as Saint Paul points out in his Letter to Corinthians (2 Co 2, 15)

February 12th, 1982

"Yes, my daughter, let’s offer ourselves as victims to the Eternal Father for the salvation of the world, for the salvation of those souls who go away from me everyday; they despise me, they blaspheme against me; they receive me sacrilegiously; they don’t have pity on me" (Our Lord)

How many sacrileges are undoubtedly committed when receiving the Eucharist! It is said that currently many receive Holy Communion but few go to confession. And it is true… look at how long the queu to take the Eucharist is in every Mass, but- on the contrary- look at the loneliness of confessionals, which are hardly visited.

Besides, in spite of making us tremble, Saint Paul’s words should be remembered: "Therefore, if anyone eats of the bread or drinks from the cup of the Lord unworthly, he sins against the body and blood of the Lord. Let each one, then, examine himself before eating from the bread and drinking from the cup" ( 1 Co 11, 27-28). They confirm what the message says, "How many dirty hearts I have to get in! And I see My Body and My Blood being profaned! I see sacrileges, offences and tremendous abominations done against me!".

Sacrilege is "a damage or profanity of a sacred object, person or place". Here He refers to the Eucharist, which is the central part of Christian life, when resurrected Jesus Christ gives himself to souls in the Holy Sacrament; in fact, He says in this message, " I was happy from My Last Supper on for making myself men’s mate until the end of the world and feed them on wine with My Body". The Church has always been conscious of the Eucharist’s primacy and greatness; for this reason, it is very strict on the Sacramental species’ profanity: " those who throw the consecrated species to the ground, or take them or keep them with a sacrilegious aim, incur excommunication "latae sententiae", reserved to the Holy See". Besides, the Eucharist is profaned when a soul in mortal sin receives Holy Communion, as the Apostle says.

Our Lord also complains against those who do not love his mother but say they love him, spreading false doctrines, "That false love for me is of no use, because if they don’t love my Mother, they don’t love me". In fact, if you really love the Lady, you love God because he has set such a deep union in his plan of salvation. Let’s have a firm devotion to Our Holy Mary, and we will be better Christians and we will please Our Lord.

Finally, he proposes Luz Amparo, " Let’s offer a moment of the Passion for the salvation of those ungrateful souls". She describes the terrible images He shows her; after them, He says, " All this for the ungratefulness of men, for my consecrated souls (…) Help me, my daughter, give me proves of your love with your sorrow, with your suffering, with your humbleness, for those souls". What shall we do for Jesus Christ to correspond to so much love?
