BLESSING OF
AT PRADO NUEVO OF EL ESCORIAL (MADRID)
" Raise all your
objects…all will be blessed with special blessings for homes, churches and
convents…
I bless you, my children, as the Father blesses
you, through the Son and with the Holy Spirit."
COMMENTARY UPON MESSAGES
May 12th 1983
"I ask you, my
children, to make sacrifices, sacrifices and prayer. This message is going to be
very short, my children; I've already said everything, my children. All those
who haven't gone to the sacrament of Confession, my children, do it because the
time is coming. I don't want you to be condemned. Sacrifices, my children,
sacrifice I ask you. Pray for consecrated souls: I love them so much although
they give me so little in return, my children. Help my Son carry the Cross, my
children. He's carrying a very heavy Cross because of all the world's
sins." (Our
Lady)
It is not the first time Our Lady says "This message is going to be very
short"; Indeed, She said
more than once there would not be more messages although the last one was in
2002.This has been a matter of controversy; nevertheless, a date was never
given and only the very same day of the last message Our Lord said clearly
"There will not be more messages, but there
will be very special blessings and marks that will be sealed on
foreheads."

There are some biblical passages where God
shows his "repentance", even for having created man (Gn 6, 6-7); along
the history of Israel lots of rectifications are found because God forgave his
people once and once again; In the Book of Tobit, after saying everything will
be fulfilled, God shows his mercy: "Everything that the prophets sent by
God pronounced about Assyria and Nineveh will happen. No word will be forgotten
but it will all come to pass in due time (…) All that God has said will be
fulfilled ( …) As a result the whole land of Israel will be deserted.
Benedict XVI took the Preaching of the
Gospel of Saint Luke, written by Saint Ambrose, as a source for one of his
catechesis; he talked about how God can sometimes change his mind: "
Zechariah, John Baptist's father, was dumb because he had not believe in the
angel's words; however, when God forgave him, He gave him the gift of prophesy
in the Benedictus. He who was dumb before is now prophesizing- saint Ambrose
says. One of God greatest graces is that those who denied him in the past
recognize him now. Therefore, nobody should lose his confidence, nobody should
despair of divine rewards, although he may feel remorse for his former sins.
God can change his mind if you can make amends for your guilt"[1]
. This is the clue: repentance and making amends; that is why Our Lady says in
the message, All those who haven't gone
to the sacrament of Confession, my children, do it".
What does a mother do when seeing her child
falling down in the abyss of sin and vices? She tries to help him, to set him
free, using all the means she has. Therefore, is it not logical thinking that She,
who loves her children more and better, never stops worrying about us and
helping us ? Any mother always says, "I won't say it again" but her
heart takes pity on her children and repeats the same words once and once
again". This is what Our Lady explains in the message we referred to above
(
Our Lady's motherly care and God's divine
providence will not abandon Humankind in this significant and hard stage of
history; as Saint Paul wrote in the Acts, love never turns its back to the
beloved:" Be on the watch, therefore, remembering that for three years,
night and day, I did not cease to warn everyone even with tears" (Acts 20,
31).
The apparitions of Our Lady along history are a
sign of her love and motherly affection, as all the speeches in the
International Marian Congress pointed out. It took place at
Although Holy Mary is in Heaven, She never
forgets the pilgrim church. The Vatican Council II, in Lumen Gentium, said:
"Taken up to Heaven
she did not lay aside this salvific duty, but by her constant intercession
continued to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation". In the same number it talks about the
divine maternity of the Virgin: "By her maternal charity, she cares for the brethren of her Son, who
still journey on Earth surrounded by dangers and cultics, until they are led
into the happiness of their true home"
To conclude, the words of the Book of Tobit
could be applied to the messages of Prado Nuevo to reinforce our confidence in
the fulfilment of all the promises Our Lady made,": "Everything that
the prophets sent by God pronounced about Assyria and Nineveh will happen. No
word will be forgotten but it will all come to pass in due time (…) All that
God has said will be fulfilled"(Tb 14, 4-5)
