COMMENTARY UPON MESSAGES

May 22nd 1983

"Keep on saying, my children, the Holy Rosary, my children. Offer it for poor sinners…" (Our Lady).

As many other times before, The Virgin recommends us to say her favourite prayer: the Rosary. In January 1982, She had already said:

"The Holy Rosary is what pleases me most; my rosary, my child. I want them to say my favourite prayer"

October is the month traditionally dedicated to the Rosary; for this reason, a selection of messages of Prado Nuevo talking about this Marian devotion is shown. Before this, we cannot forget the words of our current Pope, Benedict XVI who, as well as his predecessor John Paul II, is a faithful devout of the Holy Rosary:

"Next Saturday, Oct. 7th, we celebrate the feast of the Virgin of the Rosary; it is as if every year Our Lady invited us to rediscover the beauty of this prayer, so simple and profound.

Our beloved Pope John Paul II was a great apostle of the Rosary: We remember him kneeling with the beads in his hands, immersed in the contemplation of Christ, as he himself invited us to do with the Apostolic Letter "Rosarium Virginis Mariae."

The Rosary is a contemplative and christocentric prayer, inseparable from the meditation of sacred Scripture. It is the prayer of the Christian who advances in the pilgrimage of faith, in the following of Jesus, preceded by Mary. I would like to invite you, dear brothers and sisters, to pray the Rosary as a family during this month, and in communities and parishes, for the intentions of the Pope, for the mission of the Church and for peace in the world."

These teachings coincide with the doctrine of the messages at El Escorial as the following passages show:

· " My child, the Holy Rosary said devoutly is very powerful" ( The Virgin, May 1st 1981)

· " Say the Rosary devoutly every day; meditate a little while after each mystery; offer it for the peace of the world, specially for the peace in Spain" ( The Virgin, October 14th 1981)

· "It is very important to pray the Holy Rosary every day. Above all, tell them to say it devoutly " ( The Lord, November 20th 1981)

· "…Say the Holy Rosary every day; meditate each mystery a little bit; it is necessary you pray the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary because in each Rosary lots of souls are saved" ( The Virgin, December 11th 1981)

· "The Holy Rosary is the most powerful thing. The Holy Rosary, my child, can save Humankind. I promise those who say the Holy Rosary every day and receive the Communion on first Saturdays of month, help them at their death hour" (The Virgin, March 3rd 1982)

· "Keep on saying the Holy Rosary; my Mother likes it so much! Comfort her with her favourite prayer; and you, my child, go around the world saying the Holy Rosary and preaching the law of the Holy Ten Commandments of God" ( The Lord, April 2nd 1982)

· "The Holy Rosary, my Mother's favourite prayer, can avoid a great war, a great catastrophe and lots of dangers that are in the world" (The Lord, April 4th 1985)

· "Say the Holy Rosary every day. The Holy Rosary will solve lots of spiritual and moral problems, national and international matters." (The Virgin June 4th, 1990)

· "Say the Holy Rosary every day, my children ;if you do it, you'll be in my flock and you'll be protected with my cloak and helped at your death hour" ( The Virgin, July 7th 1991)

· "Fight. The Rosary is a very powerful weapon, my children; that's why the enemy is so angry; fight together as good Christians and say my Heart's favourite devotion" ( The Virgin, August, 7h 1993)

· "Each "Hail Mary" you pray in this place is a petal of roses you'll have when you get to the Paradise. The Rosary… Man has forgotten it: a prayer that is so beautiful for families" (Our Lady, February 5th 2000)

· " Say the Holy Rosary, my children; I ask you to say it in family because, although you don't think the Holy Rosary is important, God can have mercy on those who say it every day" ( The Virgin, July 1st 2000)

· "They forgot saying the Holy Rosary and the Holy Rosary, my children, is very important because it can stop a war, win a battle, heal illnesses, heal souls… This prayer is so beautiful that God likes it to be said" ( The Lord, August 5th 2000)

· "Say the Holy Rosary, my children; don't forget that beautiful prayer of Mary; it does so much good to souls! If you say the Holy Rosary, you can stop great catastrophes, my child. The Rosary has a great value but man has forgotten it. Say the Holy Rosary in family, my child. Parents: teach your children the prayer of the Holy Rosary, that is union" ( The Lord, May 5th 2001)

· "I'll protect all those who say the Holy Rosary every day during all their lives and be with them at their death hour. The Rosary is a powerful weapon against all the dangers in the world, my children. Say he Rosary in family" ( The Lord, March 2nd 2002)
